Every Friday I share my frugal or thrifty finds for the week or sometimes some kind of family fun activity we did. Today I have some fun frugal finds!
I stopped by my parking lot yard sale that is at a local antique store. Come shop with me on I love thrifting day and we plan to stop by this sale! Over 50 different sales were there 2 weeks ago!
I didn’t find much in the way of décor or household items, but I did find some cute clothes! I hardly ever find clothes at yard sales (not my size, not in good condition, not my style, etc.), but I lucked out with these! 2 short knit dresses for $2 each, and a long fuchsia maxi dress with the tags still on it for $5. I have literally been living in dresses like this during this summer so I was excited to add 3 more to my closet!
Then I ran by my local fabric warehouse. I was surprised to see they had a huge table full of brand new napkins and placemats for 50¢ each!
Most of them were the plastic outdoor type placemats but they did have these fabric red + white napkins that I loved! Can’t wait to use them on a red/white/blue table.
And I picked up some more material for pillows. LOVE the black and white geometric print! Less than $7 for all of the below fabric and there is about 3 yards of that black + white print.
And my best deal of the day! They had several huge rolls of red material (sort of broad cloth/linen type fabric) for … 99¢/ yard! Could not believe it!
We have an office/study in our house that is supposed to be sort of a “man-cave.” My husband has all kinds of collectible cars and such in it. (I know, you have never seen it on the blog before… Renee was surprised too as she had no clue that room existed when she stayed here last week.) Anyways, I have been looking for some red material to make curtains. And I absolutely couldn’t believe this deal! I got 12 yards for $11.88! When I get the room presentable, I will be sure to share it!
So here is my frugal finds for the week! Some yard sale finds and some fabric outlet finds. You can find all my past week’s frugal finds here.
Did you find anything fun or frugal last week? Would love to hear about it!

Love the fabric and what a great price! We leave in the morning for our trip to Savannah. We are going to check out a Goodwill store while we are there. I am hoping to find some good stuff. Have a wonderful 4th of July 🙂
oh how fun! We LOVE Savannah! Did you eat at Paula Deen’s? I went to the Goodwill there too right on the main street. It was Labor Day of last year and all Goodwill’s had all their stuff 50% off – didn’t find much but it was still fun.
No we did not eat at any restaurants there. I have some health issues which means that I have to prepare my own food. We stayed at the Old Harbor Inn which has a small kitchen so it worked out really well for us. We did go shopping at two Goodwill stores. One store was in town on Broughton and the other was on Johnny Mercer Blvd. My husband and I both found some very nice clothes. Then when we got to Vero Beach Florida to visit some of our children and grandchildren we went to the Goodwill there where we found some more nice clothing items. Can’t wait to see some of your finds from yesterday for thrifting saturday! Wish I could have been there but maybe next year 🙂
My daughter would LOVE those cute little dresses. I could never pull one off. 🙂
I’m not sure how necessary it was…but I got a cool antique typewriter at a yard sale last weekend for $3!
I might have to go out again tomorrow morning. 🙂
have a great weekend!
Kelly
your typewriter sounds like a fantastic find! I have seen those for way more at antique stores.
I would like to find an old fan! 🙂
OHHHHH, LOVE those red and white napkins!!! If you happen to go by there again and would be willing to get some more of them, I will totally buy them from you! I’m serious!!!
so sad. I did go buy the next weekend and there were NONE left??? I guess everyone bought them up for the 4th. There must have been 20-30 when I bought mine.
So sorry! (I had gotten your email but just hadn’t gotten a chance to respond and then decided I would just see if they had them before I wrote back.)
OMG! I just saw this! Thank you, SO MUCH for trying to get those napkins for me—I truly appreciate your effort! (If you ever see them again, GRAB the whole stack! LOL!)
I’ve just recently found your blog and have been enjoying it this summer—I “tune in” daily to see what you’re up. LOTS of creativity and GOOD ideas! TFS!
Those are very cute little dresses. I’ve been living in similar ones this summer, too. It’s just so hot!
The only thrift find I had this week was an octagonal melamine platter for 25 cents. The picture on it was really faded, so I used some acetone to remove it. Next I’ll spray paint it and decoupage it with some old seed packets. Then it’s going to hold my mini-terrariums.
hmmm… never thought of using acetone to remove stuff – will have to remember that!
Wow what a great deal on the fabric, love the black and white.
me too!
I am going to be on the lookout for some of that black and white fabric…in face I might start stalking that place! You scored…wanna see pillows:)
I think I need a pillow lady too! At the rate I get things sewn the fabric will be out of style before I get them done – LOL! Not really 🙂
