So remember on my June goals list I was supposed to make a new wreath – preferably a patriotic themed one? Well, it is July 2nd and it is not going to happen. In fact, I really hoped to do a FEW patriotic projects, but time has gotten away from me. The last two weeks have been non-stop with hosting a party at my house, hosting out of town guests, attending Haven conference, keeping my friends kids so they could take their youth group to summer camp and then helping to decorate and coordinate a reception for a wedding. My mind is completely right backlogged now, I have over 1000+ emails I need to delete read, tons of project ideas running through my mind and no time to do them, and I feel like I could sleep for a week!
But maybe you have time and would love to do a project for 4th of July or print a cute printable to add to your mantel or table. Or just pin some ideas to Pinterest for next year, like me! Here’s some great Red, White, & Blue projects I found on Pinterest and around blogland:
4th of July Chalkboard centerpiece by DIY on the Cheap (written by Erin, another GA blogger who I got to meet at Haven last week! Yay!)
I think this bandana red, white, and blue wreath is adorable! Check out how it is made over at Life in Wonderland
And this denim and burlap wreath is going on my MUST-make list for next year! Check it out on The Scrap Shoppe Blog.
If you don’t sew but want a simple and easy table runner – check out this bandana table runner over at Scattered Thoughts of a Crafty Mom (LOVE her blog name too!)
here’s another wreath that I really like too – from Capital B
I ADORE this table! The lanterns, the cake, the polka dot background, the flag banner! Don’t know when I would ever throw a big July 4th party but if I ever did I would definitely be using some of these ideas. Find it at A Thoughtful Place.
And next year I am SOOOO making some of these paper-crafted Patriotic fireworks! Maybe I can pick up some clearance patriotic scrapbook paper this year and save it for next year. Check out how Jamielyn and I Heart Naptime used them to decorate her mantel.

So hopefully that gives you some ideas that you could do last minute to decorate for 4th of July! We already watched a firework display last night and plan on watching at least one more. I am hoping to have a small 4th of July project to share on Wednesday so look for that. And I will share the details for the “I love thrifting” day tomorrow too. I bought all the good stuff, I mean scoped out a few stores today and am excited to thrift shop with a bunch of you on Saturday!
Have you done any patriotic crafts or projects? Would love to see them – link them up in the comments…
