It’s October which means fall is upon us: it’s time for pumpkin flavored everything (Yay!), college football and of course, fall TV premieres! Do you look forward to fall and new TV shows premiering? We aren’t a football family so fall doesn’t mean Saturday’s spent with the football game on TV but we do enjoy catching up some new or returning shows. Some of our returning favorites are NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles, looking forward to seeing if we like Supergirl when it premieres in a few weeks, and need to check out The Flash – anyone think that one has been good? And of course Fixer Upper returns a bit later this fall – CAN’T WAIT!
Before we had XFINITY we didn’t have a DVR or On Demand or anyway to watch TV except for live TV right when it aired. I know, so a 1st world problem, right? BUT I didn’t like missing a show that we enjoyed watching and yet I wasn’t going to let TV control us to the point where we were like we HAVE to be home on Tuesday’s night at 8 pm in front of the TV to catch the new NCIS episode.
So we have come to really enjoy our On Demand X1 service with XFINITY for watching our favorite TV shows and the DVR for all the new fall and holiday Hallmark movies that are starting to air on the weekends. We can watch our favorite shows when we have time for them! Plus as we use the On Demand service through our X1 system the more personalized it becomes – it will recommend other shows like the ones that we watched for us to check out and keep our favorite shows at the top for easy access.
The top 100 shows are automatically loaded and saved for you on the X1 system.
And with the Cloud DVR from X1, you can record up to five of your favorite shows while watching one live and even take your recorded shows with you on the go with the XFINITY app on your phone or tablet. So if my husband just isn’t up for watching the latest Hallmark movie on Saturday night, I can record it and watch it when only I am home and make Saturday night a family movie night that we both can enjoy.

I am loving all the new movies on the Hallmark Channel that are coming on each Saturday night. That it what I look forward to watching each week.

I don’t watch much network television (outside of sports with my husband), but we do catch Shark Tank and have seen a couple of the new fall episodes.

My must watch show is Modern Family.
We are hooked on “Switched at Birth” and my husband and I also really enjoy “Longmire” which is available on Netflix. Plus, we love supporting our Oklahoma State University Cowboys football and basketball teams, and sporting events are such fun to watch at home on Tv where you can see the action up close. Curious to know more about this On Demand service! I think that “Fixer Upper” is the best remodel show out there, Chip and Joanna are such an adorable couple!

We love our fall college football. From the time we wake up on Saturday mornings until the time we go to bed our TVs have some sort of football on, whether its games or sport news and we ALWAYS watch our LSU Tigers!!!!
