This post is part of a 31 day series – 31 days to Love the Home You Have. I am blogging through the 31 day challenge in the back of the book “Love the Home You Have” by Melissa Michaels of The Inspired Room. You can read all the posts in the series so far here. And to make sure you don’t miss a post you can sign up to have every post delivered to your inbox , or follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or Instagram to get even more home decorating ideas and inspiration to help you fall in love with your home.
We all need encouragement and reminders to be thankful for the things we have – including our home. What better way to do that then to decorate your home with visual reminders in the form of art.
There is so many ways you can do this today. I love all the family rules signs you can find in pretty much every store. I picked up this Kitchen Rules sign at Kohl’s a year or so ago and I just loved all the sayings on it – every single one is one we desire for our family. Plus it is pretty too!
You could even create your own personal family rules by creating a document or image in a photo program and then have it printed. I loved Laine’s personal family rules subway art.
Then there are free printables – there are SOOO many gorgeous free printables available today that range from everything from watercolor art to text or beautiful images with Bible verses, or quotes, or poems featured on them. I have a whole Pinterest board devoted to free Christmas printables that you can check out here.
Plus I rounded up a bunch of fall free printables in this post.
And Christmas free printables in this post.
But I encourage you to think of something that you would like to display that would be an encouragement or inspiration to you. Has a friend written you a note that was a great encouragement – display it on your fridge so you can see it often. Or maybe you have a favorite quote or a favorite verse? Do a search for it on Pinterest or just create your own simple printable in Picmonkey and display in a pretty frame. Having it in constant view – maybe on the end table in your living room, or behind the sink in the kitchen or even displayed on the front of your fridge will encourage you to love your home more.
What’s your favorite free printable? I would love to know if you have one displayed in your house right now or if you find one to print off. Do you display family rules in your house?

Wow! I love all of those! I really need to print some word art pieces and display them in my home! I think I will do that! Thanks for the inspiration! Have a great weekend!
