Time to show you what we got on our fun thrift shopping trip last Saturday! If you remember I scheduled another thrift shopping day and invited whoever wanted to join us to come – just like we did on I Love Thrifting day.
We had a fun day and found all kinds of treasures.
Here is what Nikki found.
She picked up this set of 5 oval frames for around $1 each at Goodwill. She plans to spray paint them, fill them with fabric or pictures, and display them in a gallery wall sort of arrangement in her house – will be super cute!
Shoes, a purse, and an ORB wood tray for $1 each, I think. 2 super cute dresses – one for only $1.25 too and a Christmas card hangar for $0.25!
And her rectangle basket, I think was 75¢. If she hadn’t snatched up that basket, I would have! It will be perfect to make a centerpiece like Tonya’s from Love of Family & Home. Isnt’ that gorgeous!
Martha was with us too and she found a cute fall wreath already decorated and ready to hang – for $1.00! She already had a wreath on her front door so she took my advice and hung it on the INSIDE of her back door to enjoy inside.
Here is my haul:
Goodwill – basket $1.51 (perfect for a spring arrangement), Rubbermaid tub – $1.01, and a set of 4 poppy plates and bowls for $8.58. I have been trying to pick up a few sets of 4-6 plates to use for tablescapes and this was a great deal!
Here’s what I found at the yard sale. Cupcake stand – $1.00, sandals – $1.00, moss/rusted iron thing – $1.00, and fall wreath – FREE!
I also picked up this stencil for $1.00. Stencils are expensive so I was excited to find this one still new in the package. It has some classic designs to so now I am all ready to do some stenciling.
We made one last stop at this huge thrift store that I could get lost in.
Tiered stand – $1.00, birdcage/lantern thing – $1.00, silver platter – $1.50 (looked this up online – it is made by Armetale and it sells for $24.99 – might have to ebay it), vest – $2.49.
I also picked up 3 wicker pots/baskets for $0.50 each to put mums in to display in my wagon wheel planter that I found at a yard sale last week. I had stolen the ones from my mantel for my front porch when I took pictures of it, and then had to put them back – so I needed more.
We had a fun day, enjoyed chatting and fellowshipping together, and found lots of good finds!
Just a note too, since I will be starting my 31 Pinterest projects in 31 days series on Monday and posting every day, I won’t be posting Friday Frugal Finds for the month of October. I honestly don’t know how much thrifting/yardsaling I will be doing anyways so that will probably be good. If I do find some things, I will try to share some finds on facebook and save up pictures and show you in November.
And you will want to check back later today – I will actually have a second post up on the blog. A sort of celebration of sorts

I love those red curtains you have and they would go perfect in my living room! Any chance you got them recently and could tell me where? 🙂 Thanks!
