P52: Be Still

March 10, 2012

project 52 p52 weekly photo challenge my3boybarians.com

I am participating in a project over at My 3 Boybarians called Project52 (P52) which stands for “1 photo each week for a year.” There is an assigned theme each week and I try to take the best photo I can related to that theme.  You can see all my other weekly photos here.   Here is my picture for this week’s theme…

“Be still…

“Be” –  defined as “to exist or live”   “still” – defined as “free from turbulence or commotion; peaceful; tranquil; calm.”

“Be still, and know that I am God…” – Psalm 46:10

So when I realize and know…

-That God is God and that He is MY God…

-That is His ways are higher than my ways…

-That His plans are better than mine…

-That my life may not be going the way that I planned, but it is going EXACTLY the way that HE planned…

-That “they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.”

I can let go and let God, I can “live… free from noise, free from turbulence or commotion, in peace, and calm.”

I can…  Be still… and rest in the fact that God is God.

(I am at an all-day ladies conference today and looking forward to God doing an awakening in my heart… Hoping to quiet the turbulence that threatens to overtake my heart and be still and let God work to bring His peace and rest to my soul.)

Praying your times is amazing! And, I love your picture for today’s theme! Isn’t it amazing how God simply just wants us to Be still!? Seems like such a huge task, but what a restful time when we can give it ALL over to Him and watch Him bring the calmness! Love ya!

Beautiful photo! My other idea for this theme was to simply photograph that verse in my open Bible.

I tried to get the verse and the flowers but it didn’t work 🙂
