The Frugal Homemaker

Your guide to turning your house into a home... one DIY project and yard sale find at a time

Friday Frugal Finds–games, scarfs, and vintage finds +$10 off $10 purchase at Lowe’s!

September 7, 2012

I had fun thrift shopping with a friend last Wednesday.  We hit up Value Village on their half-price day which was crazy and fun at the same time.

I got 2 games for $1.41 each.  And 2 scarfs that were half off so I paid $0.99, and $1.25 each.

Then I shopped at my parking lot yard sale.  It was packed but I only walked away with TWO things??

2 vintage blue insulator electrical pole caps.  He wanted $3.00 each but I offered $5.00 for both of them.    I love the colors of these.  And when I get my master bedroom finished I plan on displaying them in there.

Now I have a great coupon offer for you!  I couldn’t let this deal pass without sharing it!

Sign up for a MyLowe’s account and you will receive a coupon in your email.  I signed up on Wednesday and got my coupon yesterday.  I wasn’t’ sure if it was going to be $10 off $25 or $10 off $50 but it is $10 off a $10 purchase!  Love those!

I love thrift stores for games! Actually, I love them for replacement parts for games — we have several games that had lost pieces so we bought another set at the thrift store and, between the two sets, have one whole game.
