Friday Frugal Finds: GW Fashion + yard sale finds

April 27, 2012

Friday Fun Frugal Finds

I don’t have too many fun finds to share this week, mainly because I had my own yard sale last week therefore I didn’t get to shop any yard sales. (That is the worst part about having your own sale is you miss everyone else’s sales!)

But I did pop in Goodwill for a minute and found some cute clothes.

A pink Ann Taylor sweater for $2.48 (half off, yay!)

Black dress – $5.49

I actually picked these up at a yard sale the week before. I asked if I could have both games for $5 and she said yes!

And then I did some shopping at my own yard sale.  You do that too, right?  I had other family bring stuff over to sell too and these two glass pieces I rescued from my mother-in-law’s yard sale pile.  Gotta love FREE! Smile

They are both Princess House glass.  The pink one I have definite plans for and the blue vase/candle holder I just couldn’t bare to see sold for $5 when I know how much it cost/is worth.  So I will try to incorporate it into some patriotic displays this summer.  If not, I can always send it back to the yard sale pile.

And I rescued these shoes from my MIL’s stuff too.   They have changeable velcro straps – so fun!  I love it when she cleans out her closet.  (And you know my brain is already spinning with ideas on how I can DIY some more straps or make interchangeable straps for another pair of shoes.)

I am hoping to do hit my parking lot yard sale this weekend and I already found some fun finds at Goodwill yesterday that I will share next week.

How about you?  Any fun frugal or secondhand finds this week?

I am holding my own yard sale tomorrow so I will have to skip the sales this weekend 🙁 The bright side is that the 3rd weekend in May (19th) a town not far from us does an annual community wide yard sale that is approx. 3 miles long, from one end of town to the other! I thought that I read you live somewhere in Georgia. I live in Elberton, GA and the yard sale is held in Calhoun Falls, S.C.( just in case you are anywhere nearby and interested). Hope you have a blessed day!
