Yesterday we talked about sending Christmas cards and ways we can make that easier and less stressful. Today let’s talk about Christmas photo ideas or Christmas photo cards.
My favorite Christmas cards to send (and receive!) our photo cards! Since technology has made photos so much easier to do I think a photo card for Christmas is such a personal and fun idea to do. Plus it helps you create memories too. The only yearly picture we have of us is our yearly Christmas photo – wish we had done yearly anniversary photos, or annual vacation photos but at least we have yearly Christmas photos. We got a bit more creative last year than our usual inside the house by the tree/mantel pictures and I made a banner and did a picture outside. I would love to try something even different this year – guess you will have to wait and see! I got some great ideas while writing this post!
So here’s a bunch of ideas for you! Scroll though, click on the links and find one that you love for your family. Enlist the help of a family member or stranger to take it for you or set your camera on a timer and take it yourself (that’s what we do!). At the end I shared a link for a way to design your card in Picmonkey.
And if you need some more ideas The Dating Divas has an amazing post with 101+ family Christmas photo ideas all sorted by themes or props.
Here’s a great tutorial on how to create your Christmas card yourself for free in Picmonkey. You can either create your own card and order it in a cheap 4×6 print (you will then need to buy your own envelopes)) or use of the templates for photo cards on one of the photos sites which will then come with envelopes.
Which idea do you love and want to try? I am jealous of any of that you that have snow before Christmas and could create some of the awesome snow/Christmas tree farm type pictures!

I’m new to the wonderful world of Picmonkey! Thank you for sharing the link to the tutorial. My favorite Christmas cards are pictures too, but I have never sent them. This year we are wanting to send picture cards.

Love these ideas!!! Also, for the record, Sam’s Club usually has an AWESOME photo card deal around Black Friday. It’s the best price I’ve found anywhere and comes with envelopes (versus having to order envelopes if you design + print your own). It’s saved us a lot of $$ over the years. 🙂
