Excited to share my spring mantel and some more spring décor today as part of the Ringing in Spring home tour! 14 home bloggers are sharing spring touches in their homes over the next few days. There has already been some beautiful spring inspiration shared like this wreath and décor from Vidya at What’s Ur Home Story
and this bright and beautiful bedroom makeover from Inspiring Hearts and Homes
And I just loved this sitting area with spring touches from Unexpected Elegance! Can I just move all of it right into the corner in my living room??
You can see all the links at the bottom of this post to visit the rest of the blogs participating.
If you are new here, I decorate a seasonal mantel 6 or so times throughout the year. But this mantel is a little different than my past mantel designs. First it was inspired by this plant/flowers. My father-in-law passed away 2 weeks ago and this plant/flower basket was one of the plants actually given by our church for his funeral. My mother-in-law allowed family to pick a plant to keep/take home and this is the one I got. I LOVE hydrangeas and will so enjoy planting this outside once it gets warm enough and enjoying memories of a special man each time I see it or clip blooms to bring inside. But since it was 28 degrees this morning, I am currently keeping it indoors and enjoying it there.
And this mantel décor is very simple… But I am loving it.
I am calling it my “blooms and blue mantel”.
These are a few of my favorite things. Blue mason jars and flowers…
I love it when I can clip things for free from the backyard and bring inside for décor.
This will be the last time you see my mantel with the tan color on the wall too. New wall color will be coming very soon (evidenced by the swatches painted on the wall)!
My winter mantel was simple as well, and now spring is too. I think I am sensing a pattern of more simplicity in my decorating style and I have to admit I am enjoying it.
I shared the other side of my living room in this post about incorporating thrifted pillows in my décor.
And I am reusing this spring tulip wreath from last year on my front door! Can’t wait for it to finally get warm and STAY warm outside so I can get ferns for the front porch and start planting flowers!
So there’s some more spring touches in our home. I have been much slower at getting things done/added this year because of different life events but the weather seems to be slow in turning to spring too, so makes me not feel so far behind.
How about you? Have you added some spring touches to your home? Need some more ideas?

Love the simplicity and beauty of your mantel!
I love the simplicity of your mantel and that tulip wreath is amazing!!!!
I love your spring mantel! The blue bottles, the window and flowers look so fresh and beautiful. I am so sorry for the loss of your Father-in-Law. My Dad passed away several years ago, actually both of my parents have passed and I do know how it is. There’s the flush of busyness around that time then a period of adjusting. I think of them often – especially when I do things like garden or paint – those things they loved to do. I am glad we’ve shared this home tour and will keep you and your family in my prayers –
Blessings,
Kathy
Howdy just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know a few of the

but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different internet browsers and both show the same results.
