Friday Frugal Finds: first Friday yard sale shopping of the year!

March 28, 2014

Excited to be sharing my first “Friday Frugal Finds” of the spring today.  Last weekend was a gorgeous weekend and there were yard sales everywhere.  I only got to stop on a few on Friday as I was out headed to town and running errands but I still found some very specific things I was looking for and some great finds.  I shared most of them on Instagram and facebook so some of you may have seen them, but just in case not, here they are:

First I found these candlesticks for $2.00 with the candles included!  I don’t think many of you could tell the totem pole type paint job they had in the picture but they desperately need a new paint job.  Hoping to get that done this weekend and show the the after next week.  I had specifically been looking for a set of 3 candlesticks so excited to find these and for an awesome price!

Next up was this blue side table that I picked up for $6.00.  Awesome price and awesome potential.

I really do love the color and may paint it back that same shade depending on where I end up using it (hoping to use it as a nightstand in our bedroom).  But it desperately needs to be cleaned up and new paint job.  And a new handle!

I saw this table that Traci at Beneath my Heart did and loved it.

Wouldn’t my yard sale one look cute painted white or blue with a new handle and a basket on the bottom?

My last find was this tupperware.  All of it except the big canister was brand new with the papers still inside!  I paid $20 for all of it (like $2 a piece) and figured out this is probably over $100 worth of tupperware.

Was hoping this weekend would be a good yard sale weekend but it is supposed to rain today and tomorrow. Sad smile  Maybe I will visit Value Village instead.

How about you?  Yard sales popping up yet – any fun finds recently?

That little nightstand table is so cute! I just love your vision for it! I can’t wait to see how it turns out and what you do with the candlesticks! I hope you get to go to some yard sales this weekend. I just love seeing what you find! I went to a couple already this week and have gotten a small outdoor table and 2 chairs for $3, a pretty full length mirror for $5, a box fan for $1, and a Willow Tree for $4! I’m hoping to hit up a couple more tomorrow. I also saw an American Girl doll with 2 books and extra clothes for $75! Didn’t get it, but it seemed like an awesome deal! Can’t wait to see what else you find! I love these posts!

I love your little table the most, my last big score was a mint condition set of three vintage Pyrex casseroles for $20. We have the five mile flea market here in a couple weeks, so I am saving for that.

Wow, what deals! This makes me want to hit some yard sales this weekend! I love the end table. A little chalk paint and sandpaper would make it amazing :)!

Great find! And that’s small enough to work in several places around the house – like a bathroom or front entrance.
