Running out of time to share the rest of my Christmas décor with you! I know some of you have been waiting and wanting to see my Christmas mantel… so here it is!
I had planned to do something totally different but ran out of time to make that happen. But I really do like how it came out anyways.
I love this view of part of the mantel and part of the tree!
In fact this same angle/view of last years Christmas décor has been my phone background and front screen this Christmas.
Just to share how I changed things up this was last year’s décor and mantel…
And this was my Christmas decor the year before that…
But back to this year’s red JOY mantel.
I didn’t really buy or make anything new for this mantel. The red berry trees were yard sale finds from this past summer and the pallet piece is actually a fireplace screen that has a very dated picture on the front side that I found at Value Village this summer.
I did spray paint my JOY letters that I just used as plain paper mache last year. And then just reused and pulled things from all over the house. Lots of yard sale/thrift store finds – all the trees except the white one, the large urn, the bench, the sleigh, the barn door/pallet backdrop, the bench, and even the greenery all are thrifty finds
This stool has become a permanent fixture here, I just love the coziness that it brings and be able to decorate it with a throw and pillows each season. Maybe this year I will find a chair and ottoman for the corner by the windows and retire my stool to somewhere else.
I love using this old sleigh that I picked up for $5 a few years ago in my winter décor. Now if I could just find some ice skates at a thrift store or yard sale… but think that may be pretty hard here in GA!
I was excited when I found this pair of red berry trees at a yard sale with the tags still on them this past summer – I think I paid $4 for both of them.
Kept it somewhat simple this year with lots of red, white, and green and natural elements.
And some coziness on the hearth.
DIY chevron tree skirt details here and Christmas tree details here.
I have ran out of time to share everything else with you this year so if any of you still want to see it, I think I will post a Christmas recap/Christmas at our house tour the day after Christmas instead of a holiday tour before. You can always get some ideas for next year! I start thinking and planning about anything new I would like to do/buy now so that I can hopefully pick it up on Christmas clearance. I know this year I would like to find 1 or 2 small trees – one tabletop and one 3-4 foot tree. Should be CHEAP after Christmas
I will be back tomorrow for a quick post, but for now more wrapping is calling! Are you done wrapping yet??

So pretty–and practical! Love when we can re-use to decorate. Brilliant idea to re-do that fireplace screen! Now I’m going to be on the lookout for one! (And don’t you just love the after-Christmas sales? I always save some of my Christmas money to shop them!)
