Organizing my craft supplies with Rubbermaid All Access Organizers

Organizing with Rubbermaid All Access Organizers

I love organization and love to have an organized home.  I just don’t always make it happen, or know how to make it happen in my home, have the materials to make it happen, or have time to make it happen, you know how it is.  Well, recently I got a little help to do some organizing with these awesome new containers from Rubbermaid.

I found them at my local Home Depot on this huge end cap display.

These new All Access Organizer containers from Rubbermaid are like a traditional bin with a lid that can be stacked easily and work perfectly to organize items in closets, laundry rooms, garages, wherever you need some extra storage.

They even come in two sizes – small and large – so that you can make them fit your needs.

But here is the amazing part – the front of the bin is a clear, drop down door so you can access what is inside without unstacking the containers.

Totally cool!  I wish I had these for all my storage containers!  I can’t tell you how many times I have had to unstack stacks of totes of Christmas décor, or other storage stuff not only trying to SEE what was in the bottom tote but also to get stuff OUT of the bottom tote.

So here is what I needed help organizing – craft supplies.  I had a box of supplies downstairs in our office, a box upstairs, and 2 drawers in my entry way dresser that had gotten crammed full over time.

No wonder I could never find what I needed.  I dumped everything out, got rid of some stuff, put non-craft stuff where it needed to go, organized the spools of ribbon in one of the dresser drawers, and put the rest of the stuff in three of the All Access Organizers.

The large one on the bottom now stores fabric, felt and yarn.

The middle one has random craft supplies like wreath forms, some wood letters, paper punches and more.

And the top one has all my craft paint, brushes, stencils, and mod podge!  Easy to access from the front…

Or from the top.

Ahhhh… organization!  Love it!

Like you I have tons of totes filled with holiday and seasonal decorative items and it is a pain in the behind to unstack and restack them when looking for just one or two items. I think I may have to start buying some of these a couple at a time until my old ones have totally been replaced. Thanks for sharing Christina 🙂

Wow! someone finally listened to someone’s suggestions! I’ve been wanting this type of tub for years! For my crafting (paper crafting) I usually get the stackable cubes with drawers which work great… but I have a garage full of those old type tubes, that are stacked, and yes, it seems I always want what’s in the bottom one! usually fabric… I’ve been an avid quilter/sewer for 40 years! I label them all, but inevitably, the piece of fabric I need is in the bottom tub! these are great. Although we just moved and I have about 15 empty tubs now, I would love to start getting some of these with the side door. Great to know they are “out there” now!
