Get Cozy, Give Back with Better Homes and Gardens

December 12, 2012

BHG Get Cozy, Give Back

I recently got a chance to team up Better Homes and Gardens in their “Get Cozy, Give Back” campaign with a photo contest for charity.  Here’s how it works.  Pick up your favorite Better Homes and Gardens throw at Wal-mart and take a picture snuggling with your new blanket and submit it on their facebook page.  For every 250 photos submitted, BHG will donate $500 in Wal-mart gift cards to Children’s Miracle Network.    PLUS the top 5 pictures will have 15 blankets donated in their name to their local children’s hospital.    So neat!

I picked up this brown plaid sherpa throw at Walmart and I love it!  The colors are perfect for my living room and it has become the blanket my husband and I both want when we are cold.  LOVE the soft sherpa part!

They come in all kinds of colors!  So pretty!

They also have these royal plush blankets at Wal-mart too that you can use as a throw or as a blanket on your bed.

And here we are snuggling with the blanket by candlelight.

And here is the picture I am submitting to the Get Cozy, Give Back contest.  I would love for you to go vote for it here.  Look under recent photos or you can type in “Candlelight snuggles” and vote once per day.

You can also pick up your own blanket and submit it too to help with this great charity for a local children’s hospital.

And make sure to check out the Better Homes and Gardens lines at Wal-mart the next time you are there – I LOVE their things.  You saw how I used a bunch of their fall tableware line on my fall table.  And with many items in their line that you purchase at Wal-mart you get a free year subscription to Better Homes and Gardens magazines.  Gotta love that.

How are you giving back this Christmas?

Ooooh, love them– the blanket AND the photo! Now I’ve gotta keep my eye out for that one when I go to Walmart– it would match my Christmas living room perfectly! And I’ll make sure to get over and vote for your pic as often as I can! 🙂
