Come thrift shop with me – “I love thrifting” fall edition is coming!

So remember the fun “I love thrifting” day that I hosted back in the summer?  Rashon, aka Mr. Goodwill Hunting, started this national day and tons of people got together in cities all around the country to “thrift” together.

We had so much fun and found some great stuff (check out my recap with pictures of everyone’s treasures here).  And when we got done we all agreed this didn’t need to be just a one time annual thing.

Soooo, here comes our our FALL “I love thrifting day”!

It will be next Saturday, September 22nd, starting at 9 am.   We will follow the same basic schedule we did last time.   If you are able to join us from the first store we will follow each other from there.  And if you can’t join us until later in the morning, this should help you get an idea of where we might be.  (Times are approximate.)

So here’s the tentative plan:

9 am – Meet at Goodwill in Covington

(in the Kroger shopping center on Hwy. 278, next to Ace Hardware – 3173 Highway 278 Nw, Covington, GA 30014)

Goodwill Industries International logo

9:45am – head to my famous parking lot yard sale (weather permitting)

(located in the parking lot of Antiques and Stuff – 2177 Elm Street Covington, Georgia 30014)

Picture

10:45am – Rockmart Thrift Store

(located on 278 in the Budget self storage parking lot – Fred’s and Butcher Block Deli are in the same parking lot)

11:30 – Salvation Army

(located on Hwy. 81 – 5193 Washington St SW, Covington, GA)

12:00  – Repairers of the Breach

(located right off Hwy. 81 – 5120 Old Brown Bridge Rd SW, Covington, GA 30014)

1:00 pm – Lunch at Square Perk in the Covington Square.

Again, at that point we can be done and you can go on with your day.  But if any of you would like to visit the flea market I talk about (Village Flea Market in Porterdale), my fabric warehouse (OHCO), or another thrift store, I will gladly show you around! Smile

A few things – make sure to bring cash to shop at the yard sale.  All of the rest of the thrift stores accept credit cards.  And come ready to find some deals and have some fun!  Looking forward to meeting you and thrifting together!

If you want to just let me know in the comments that you are coming, that would help me make have a heads up on who to look for.

Hope you can join us!

    awww… I wish I lived closer!

Christina, last weekend at an annual SPCA garage sale I found a cupcake stand for $1 (along with a few other treasures). I was looking at cupcake stands in the store and didn’t want to pay the retail price. I’m pretty happy with myself – reminds me of your post when you were looking for the plates for cake stand and found them at a garage sale.

Have fun on the 22nd, post lots of pictures and I’m with you in spirit.

    Hugs,
    Heather

I was hoping to join you this time but just found out yesterday that we will need to replace our heat and a/c unit for our house so it looks like no shopping for me this month 🙁 I hope to be able to join you all next time. Have a wonderful time shopping and can’t wait to see the deals that you get!

Sounds like fun wish I could do that with peeps here in Florida, so I do myself but would be fun to find some new CHEAPER ones. You girls on the blogs always find good deals.

Orlistat is a weight-loss medication that is no longer a prescribed medicine; it is a plant where Ephedrine is
extracted from a flowering plant and can be made into dyes that resist microbial contamination.

This can cause a lot of people can get Phentermine from
their general family doctor and a lot of available products that one can choose to brew loose leaves or tea bags.
