I am back with another edition of Friday Frugal Finds! Where I show you what I picked up at yard sales, thrift stores, or my favorite flea market last week. I love seeing what others find at yard sales or thrift stores and it helps give me a vision for items I might find and what price I should be paying for them. So hopefully this helps you too (or makes you want to come shop with me!)
It rained buckets last Saturday so I didn’t do any yard sale shopping on Saturday. So I was glad I had gotten out and hit a few yard sales on my way to town on Friday.
This yard sale was in the neighborhood across the street from me and I almost didn’t stop on my way home. Glad I did!
I got a plate stand for $3, a white vintage Fire King bowl for $2, and a board game for 50¢.
At another yard sale I walked away with this little yellow dish. I just liked it cause it was yellow and I plan to use yellow in my bedroom re-do
Then I stopped at what is becoming my new favorite thrift store. It is just a local charity type thrift store but it is HUGE! And dirty and smelly and most things aren’t priced. Which usually means you are going to get a great deal!
Let’s see if I can remember prices:
- lace material (I use this all the time in decorating) – $1.00
- doilies – 25¢ and 50¢ a pack
- Cranium game – $3
- Milk glass measuring bowl – 50¢
- Mason jar – 50¢
- black shoes – $2.50
- white shoes – $1.99
- orange dress (LOVE this – washed and wore it the next day 😉 – $2.50
- jean skirt – $2.50
Gotta love those prices compared to $5.89 for a dress, $4-6 for shoes, and $6 milk glass at my Goodwill.
So what did you find this week? Did you do any yard sale shopping this week or did you get rained out too?

Fifty cents for a milk glass mixing bowl? Sold!

I found a new, still in shrink wrap lego game for $2 at the goodwill. Even if the kids don’t like the game, the lego pieces alone in it are worth more than $2!

Great Shopping for a great price! Keep up the frugal shopping. I will soon be married for 31 years and most everything in my house is either from Garage Sales, Estates Sales, or Thrifty Stores. You have a great blog. Also, I love the idea of going in my back yard and using dried materials for the flower arrangements. This fall I have to decorate the Book Club Luncheon tables. Have a great week! Wanda

So glad I have found your blog! I have spent far too much time looking at all your posts. The milk glass bowl with a spout is most likelyP Pyrex. I have the exact same bowl, which is unmarked, but I found it at a thrift store with a larger bowl with the same stripes that is marled Pyrex. :]
