Welcome Home Sunday guest hosting today!

Happy Sunday! I don’t typically post on Sundays because we spend the day at church and with family, but today I have the privilege to be the guest host for the Welcome Home Sunday series with some other blog friends.

I don’t know about but the dreary, cold rainy days in January can get to me sometimes – I am a sunshine, flip-flop loving girl! But I am thankful for our cozy home, for worship music I can play all day long to encourage my soul, and projects to work on to make my home more special for my family. One of the favorite songs I listened to this week was “This is My Father’s World.”

This is my Father’s world,
And to my listening ears
All nature sings, and round me rings
The music of the spheres.
This is my Father’s world:
I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas–
His hand the wonders wrought.

This is my Father’s world:
O let me ne’er forget
That though the wrong seems oft so strong,
God is the Ruler yet.
This is my Father’s world:
Why should my heart be sad?
The Lord is King: let the heavens ring!
God reigns; let earth be glad!

Love those last few lines – my heart needs not be sad because God reigns and He is King!
