You guys, I am having yard sale withdrawals!! LOL! Hopefully I will find some tomorrow to stop at as I am out running errands. In between summer vacation, rain, Haven Conference, and just crazy schedules it has been over a month since I stopped at a yard sale. I have managed to stop in a thrift store once or twice during that time. My list is very specific and short so I have walked out a few times with nothing.
But I find this brass lamp at Goodwill and it was half off too so only cost $2.50. I have been looking for one to spray paint navy.
Brass lamps like these make great spray paint makeover candidates. I just love how my white ones turned out. I always look for the ones that are brass on the entire thing – not having a white plastic piece at the top below where the bulb goes – I see those all of the time but just don’t think they would spray paint as good.
I am hoping to change out the florescent light fixture in my kitchen but had to have something that was 18 inches or less in height. This fixture from Goodwill is the perfect height and also was under $5 so it came home with me too. The little brass caps come off the white candle sticks so it should be an easy spray paint makeover. I am thinking I will go with Oil Rubbed Bronze since the fixtures in my eat-in-kitchen and dining room are both dark metal.
Guess I need to get to work in my spray paint booth because I have these 2 lighting pieces plus the metal headboard from earlier to spray paint!
So what have you found recently? Been doing any spray painting too?
