Don’t miss out on life’s big moments with Share by XFINITY

Disclosure: Post and giveaway sponsored by XFINITY, but all opinions are my own. Please see below for additional disclosure.

I love technology!  I guess I am a bit geeky when it comes to things like that but when I read of a new app or a new gadget or something that makes life better, easier, more exciting or just makes you say, “wow!”, I am sort of enthralled with those things.  Now don’t get me wrong I am not one to run out and purchase the latest and greatest phone, watch, gadget or piece of technology because I am still frugal at heart… but when I can add some really cool features to my life maybe with something I already have or something I need (like a cell phone), I definitely consider all the cool options.

Have you seen this commercial recently?  Watch it for just a second and I would love to know what you think…

My husband and I have had XFINITY service for about 8 months now and honestly (completely my honest opinion – not told to say this) we couldn’t be happier.  We had very basic satellite service before with no DVR, no On Demand, our internet was slow, and if we got a big summer rainstorm like we have had several times this week our TV would be out for about an hour.    So we have thoroughly enjoyed all the “extras” we never had before as I have been partnering with XFINITY.

So when I saw this commercial, I was very interested!  In fact my husband and I had remarked how cool that was several times, wondered could our system do that, and talked about the ways we would use it.  I just hadn’t looked up how it worked.

Seriously couldn’t believe how easy it was – if you have XFINITY X1 Triple Play service you can stream live videos, send pictures to your TV or a friends/relatives TV who has X1 Triple Play all just by downloading an app (called XFINITY Share) to your smartphone and signing in your XFINITY account – EASY!

Once you have the XFINITY Share app on your phone (available on App Store and Google play), and have logged into your account – you can then enter the home phone or XFINITY phone number of the person you wish to share with.  You can even share it your own TV.  Then upload a photo or video from your saved album or record a live video or take a picture and send it.  Have company over and want to share the video you took of your child’s graduation, baseball game, school play, whatever but you don’t want everyone huddled around your smartphone?  Just send it to your TV and view it all on the big screen!

The part I really love is the live stream option.  Have grandparents, family, or friends that live far away or maybe just aren’t able to attend a special event?  If they are at home and watching TV, you can send them an invite to view a live stream.

Once they except the video they are literally seeing that amazing play at the baseball game, or seeing their granddaughter graduate from high school, or even just live chatting no matter the distance completely free of charge.

We figured out how simple this was to use the other day and my husband was at a Jeep event and I wasn’t able to go… so he just took out his cellphone and live streamed him telling me about a feature on a jeep that he really liked and I was able to see it and hear his explanation.  So cool!  I am slowly turning him into a technology lover too. Smile  Just wait till I start live streaming him some amazing find I find at a yard sale and my convincing speech of why I should buy it. Winking smile  He might change his mind then.

Get more information along with complete instructions on how to set it up and use XFINITY Share here.

So how would you use the XFINTY Share app?  Would you live stream an event, share pictures or videos and who would you share them with?
