Coffee Punch

September 10, 2014

Coffee Punch

If you love coffee, or Frappuccino’s you will LOVE this coffee punch.  In fact many people that don’t drink coffee still say they like this punch.

I made this for 2 bridal showers this summer – a beach themed one and a modern vintage one and it was a hit.  I mean how can you go wrong with coffee and icecream?  This is perfect to serve at a shower, or party, or even a dinner maybe with dessert – just serve in individual glasses instead of in a punch bowl.

Coffee Punch

Coffee punch

  • 1 quart triple strength coffee, brewed (approximately 3 cups water and 2 scoops coffee—scoop= 2 heaping tablespoons)
  • ½ c sugar

Stir to dissolve and chill.

  • ½ pint heavy cream
  • 1 ½ t. vanilla extract

Combine both mixtures and refrigerate until ready to make punch.

When ready to serve, add I gallon of softened ice cream (either vanilla or coffee flavored, depending on desired coffee effect)

Mash with potato masher –will be lumpy.  Makes 25 – 6 oz. servings.

I usually find that you need more liquid – so you can either add milk or you can double the brewed coffee amount which will make the punch more stronger coffee flavored.  Completely customizable to your tastes!

Coffee Punch

Would love to know if you try this!  Trying to think of some excuse to make this – anyone want to come over for a “party”? Smile

I’ve had the coffee punch – the recipe is a little different – and it is delicious! And I’m not even a coffee drinker…… :0)
    Thanks for sharing,

Have you ever tried instead of heavy cream using your favorite coffee creamer flavor?? This sounds amazing! I will be trying at my next shower I am hosting this month!
