I don’t know why I always forget and turn these 1 month recap posts into 2 month recap posts but it just has seemed to work that way most of the year.
So in case you missed some things around there during the summer when you were vacationing, or enjoying some time off… here’s what happened around my home and on the blog in July and August.
I created some Patriotic themed tin can cases. I really enjoyed these! Maybe I should make a fall version! Still need to find a larger can.
I shared how I set a pretty summer table with some recent yard sale finds.
My husband and I escaped for just a few short days for our anniversary to Charleston and loved the city! Can’t wait to take a longer trip to Charleston some other time and to enjoy our real anniversary trip later too!
My ferns have lasted ALL SUMMER for the first time in years! They still look just as green and good (actually even better) right now. Come find out my secret.
I organized a bunch of craft supplies with these new Rubbermaid All Access containers! Love the pull down clear fronts!
I made some DIY pretty Bobby pins for my curly hair.
Highlight of my summer other than the long weekend we spent away for our anniversary was attending the Haven Conference! Really enjoyed making some new blogging friends, learning lots, and getting to be ME for 3 whole days!
I did a round up of 15+ burlap wreath ideas to start getting me in the mood to create a wreath for fall.
Then I spent a whole week on how to decorate your mantel 5 different ways/5 different styles. I hope you enjoyed this series! It was challenging and fun for me to do.
Classic Black and white or family photos mantel
Vintage or Eclectic decorated mantel
And my personal favorite – a cottage or coastal themed decorated mantel
I spray painted a yard sale basket to add some needed storage in the bathroom.
And I got a jumpstart on a fall project with some new craft supplies and created a no-sew fall subway art pillow.
It is now officially September so I hope you are gearing up for some fall posts soon! Plus have some decorating/DIY things in the works too.
Thanks for following along!
