I hope you enjoyed mantel week last week! While I was busy posting those posts last week, I was also busy doing some purging/organizing/rearranging and some projects. So you will see some of those things pop up on the blog in the next few weeks.
Today I have a simple spray paint makeover project to share with you. I don’t think I had spray painted anything ALL SUMMER. Wow. So it was fun to do that again and see the always amazing before/after.
I found this basket in my yard sale décor stash and really wanted to put it to use somewhere in my home.
I think I got it sometime in the last year for a $1-2 and it is heavy, nice metal basket. I have really been trying to keep my eye out for more vintage finds and although this isn’t a vintage metal milk crate or something like that – it does have a more vintage feel to it.
But I wasn’t loving the brassy/greenish finish.
Rust-oleum Oil Rubbed Bronze spray paint to the rescue! You can find this at pretty much any home improvement store and even Wal-mart in my area.
Some quick coats of ORB spray paint…
And it was looking much better! And I found it a new home to add some nice contrast and storage in my guest/half bath downstairs.
Love that dark finish against the white beadboard. By the way, I totally need to show you this bathroom – I did a pretty extensive makeover on it last year but still need to do the finishing touches so I can call it finished and show you.
Yay for one thing out of the storage pile and a new decorative/functional/decorative item to the bathroom!
Have you done any simple spray paint makeover projects recently?

Christina,
I love the basket and how it turned out with the oil rubbed bronze spray paint! I have some spray paint projects on my “to do” list, as well. This looks great in your guest bath – can’t wait to see how the rest of the bath turned out. Thanks for sharing!
Blessings,
Lanita

I love that spray paint, too! And it looks fabulous on the basket. It looks perfect in the corner holding the toilet paper rolls.

That is a cute basket for the bathroom! I love using spray paint, though I haven’t done any spray paint projects lately. You are always inspiring…
