The Frugal Homemaker

Your guide to turning your house into a home... one DIY project and yard sale find at a time

My favorite 31 days projects and top 5 readers favorite projects too

November 3, 2012

Several of you asked what MY favorite project was out of my 31 days of Pinterest and why.  Wow… so hard to choose!  I love them all!

I am really enjoying the organizational projects that I did – hanging my scarves in the closet, organizing my user manuals and receipts, organizing my family recipe book, and making a DIY jewelry organizer.  I am not someone who is constantly organizing things in my home, honestly for lack of time and motivation, but when I can come up with a system that works and is super organized and I have time to actually get it done – I LOVE it!

And my favorite recipe – no question, the individual Pumpkin Cream Pies  in mini mason jars.  They are so yummy and I just LOVE serving them in those little mason jars.  And I had so much fun making that cute printable for the top of the jars too!

I also have really enjoyed the homemade pumpkin butter – I gave a few away as gifts and they loved it too!  And my homemade taco seasoning… I should have made that months ago!  We love it!  I quadrupled the recipe and it is almost all gone – in between several batches of homemade chili, tacos, and taco soup we have been using it like crazy!  And the Apple Crisp Pizza – if you haven’t made that yet – do it this weekend, you will thank me later!

My favorite crafts – ALL of the wreaths!  (click on the pictures to go to the tutorials)

Cinnamon Stick Wreath

And my moss monogram and jute monogram sort of fit in the “wreath” category too.

And the DIY wood centerpiece box – I love this!  And I can’t wait to decorate it again and again for each season!  DIY Centerpiece Box

So there is some of my favorites (even though I really do love them all – except my dirty grout and the pumpkin bread that wasn’t the best I had ever tasted.)

And just for fun – want to know what some of YOUR favorite projects are??   This is by number of page views and number of comments.
