The Frugal Homemaker

Your guide to turning your house into a home... one DIY project and yard sale find at a time

Coming October 2012: 31 days of….

September 20, 2012

When I started my blog last year right about this time (1st year blogging anniversary coming up next week!  wow!), I published my fall mantel and then jumped into the month of October writing every day for 31 days.  The series was “31 days to decorate your home on a budget” and you can find that whole series right here.

It was FUN, it was insane, and it was one of the best things I could have done to kick off my blog with a bang!

So all summer long I have been thinking and planning what I would do this year.  And the time is almost here.  I will once again join Nester for her 31 days series and write for 31 days during the month of October.

This years topic….

31 days of Pinterest - Pinned to Done button

“31 days of Pinterest: Pinned to DONE!”

You probably know where I am going with this…

Whenever you heard about and joined Pinterest, it went something like this:

Pinned Image

(source)

And you end up having 6,812 pins in your Pinterest account and have actually completed about THREE of them.

my Pinterest pins

Please tell me I am not the only one…right?  I mean, if I actually did half the pins in my account, I would have a perfectly decorated house,  a wreath on every door, my couch and beds would be covered in beautiful pillows,  I would have about 300 DIY projects under my belt, everything in site would be spray painted (watch out cat!), my house would be perfectly organized with all those smart tips I pinned, and I would weigh about 300 pounds from indulging in all those to-die-for desserts I have pinned.   LOL!

So while I am not aiming for any of above things to happen in 31 days, I do plan to do 31 Pinterest projects in 31 days so that I will at least have 34 things done of my 6,812 pins at the end of the month.  You gotta start somewhere, right?

I hope you will join me every day in October, because…

Time to stop pinning and start doing

See you then!
