Today I am sharing our Christmas living room and tree with you! I did a ski lodge inspired look with farmhouse style mixed in too this year for Christmas and I have so enjoyed it!
This spot is the heart of our home and where we spend most of our time so it’s always the place I decorate the most.
I love how cozy the living room looks with all the twinkling lights and candles! I made those decorative skis this year and you can see how here.
We used to have our tv in the corner where the Christmas tree is and at Christmas we would scoot it over in front of the window where the loveseat is now. But this summer we cut cable so it gave us more options for where could put the tv. So we rearranged the living room and put the loveseat over by the windows and the TV on this wall. I made some DIY shutters to help frame it in and add more decor on that very large wall.
I really do love the loveseat on this side – it doesn’t block the window like the TV did and just has a much cozier feel. We usually have an armchair in the corner where the tree is but I hope to add built-ins there in the future.
I went to a Bargain Hunt store this past summer and found a bunch of the Target dollar spot skis from past years marked down to $0.30 each so I grabbed a bunch of them! I had fun using them on my tree and all over my house for decor. I have a large pair of skis, ice skates, and an old vintage sled on my front porch to continue the ski lodge theme out there.
I love the tree with the lights on but I also love it with the lights off – you can see al the ornaments a bit more and it’s such a pretty look! I reused mostly all ornaments I already had, some I got on clearance last year, and then I did add those wood house ornaments from Kirkland’s this year. The white garland is just a braided yarn that I got at Hobby Lobby! I love that it looks like a chunky finger knitted garland and will probably use it someplace for winter too.
This interchangeable sign from the Target dollar spot is so fun! It has 5 wood signs that you can slide in and out for a different look.
I display all the cards we get on this simple ribbon taped to this closet door. It creates a festive display and we get to walk by and see all the cards as we get them.
See that little peek of a dollhouse in the corner? My little girl and I decorated her dollhouse all up for Christmas – you have to hop over and check out that post. Miniature decor is so fun!
Cannot wait to be gathered all around in this space opening presents and spending time with family in just a few days!

Great tree! Feels full, bright, festive, and light all at the same time. I like the texture the branch picks add. Merry Christmas.

Absolutely beautiful. I’m one of those people who decorates up until Christmas Day!! But then I leave most of it up all winter since I use mostly winter decor and snowmen! Merry Christmas!
