Have you ever shopped at a Restore? I thought I would take you on a tour of one and hope that you can find one near you that you can check out soon. It is like a home improvement outlet store and thrift store combined in one! So you know I was loving it! 
You may be familiar with Habitat for Humanity who help build homes for families in need – the Atlanta Habitat division builds 40-50 homes a year. You can read more about Habitat for Humanity and their mission and organization here and even see if there is a build happening near you that you can volunteer at – it is a tremendous organization and you would never forget helping to change someone’s life. Habitat for Humanity also has stores that people can donate their used and new leftover building supplies, appliances, furniture, and home accessories instead of just sending them to the landfill. All the proceeds from the stores go directly back into the Habitat for Humanity program.
This is the new Atlanta Habitat for Humanity Restore located at 271 Chester Ave in Atlanta. You can actually browse their website or follow them on Instagram to see some of their new arrivals. I met up with some other Atlanta bloggers and we had a fun morning of shopping. Erin at DIY on the Cheap organized an Atlanta Home + DIY bloggers group several years ago and we try to get together monthly for a shopping outing or a business meeting and enjoy being able to talk blogging and DIY with other like-minded people.
The Restore had all kinds of fun DIY projects in their store too – even their counters were made out of old doors.
This location had LOTS of furniture. I find that their prices are bit higher than some thrift stores but they also carry a bit more quality stuff too – mostly all wood furniture, some even brand name furniture like some stools from West Elm, etc. But some of that depends on location. This one is in the middle of Atlanta. I have a much smaller Restore near me and their prices are bit lower but the selections are not as nice either.
This mahogany bedset was very pretty.
They had curtain panels too – once again this is all stuff that people have donated.
Tons and tons of tile. If you have small tile job, I would definitely check out the Restore in your area. You could probably find 2-3 boxes of matching tile for super cheap.
I thought this big tile piece was pretty and could have been used on an outdoor table or something. It was only about a $1.00
They usually have lots of cabinet, vanities, sinks, tubs, faucets… One of the girls that was shopping with us got a very nice stainless steel sink with the large and small sinks for less than $30 for her kitchen remodel!
Tons and tons of artwork – nice canvases too that could be repurposed if you were looking for something like that.
Hardware all organized in drawers – most of it $1.50 or less.
There is also shelves of normal “thrift store” type items – dishes, baskets, home décor, etc.
Lots of lighting.
I thought this light was very pretty if you had the right space for it!
More furniture…
I just loved this media cabinet! I would probably paint it white but it was so pretty!
I also loved this headboard. I am keeping my eyes out for a wrought iron headboard for my guest room – either going to find one like that or build one from wood.
Always lots of doors and windows to be found at a Restore.
Even countertops – granite pieces, laminate, and solid surface. Perfect for an island or maybe a small kitchen if you could find enough.
They had some larger things outside and I loved this iron door and side pieces.
I took home on of the larger side pieces for $10 (wish I could have gotten 2 of the smaller ones too after I got home and looked on Pinterest and found some ideas of what I could do with them!)
And I also got this lamp for $15.

I love ReStore! I have scored some lighting fixtures for diy paint finishes and I love them. It is a great place to reimagine things and a cheap source for materials for projects.
