20 Fall Centerpieces

Let’s talk centerpieces today!  Centerpieces can honestly be anything you want them to be  – from an elaborate floral arrangement, to things you gather from nature outside and put in glass vases, or groupings of several items.  Don’t be afraid to be creative and use unique items for centerpieces – go beyond the typical large candle or floral centerpiece.

Also think about the shape and size of your table.  If you have a long rectangle table you may want to do a series of items as your centerpiece – 1 large item in the middle and smaller items on the sides – always work in odd numbers – 3 or 5 things.  If you have a round table or a square table you may want to do 1 thing as your centerpiece or a grouping of smaller items on a tray of in the middle of the table but centered on the table as your centerpiece.

Lots of these centerpiece ideas can also be used for other areas in your home – think entryway tables, sofa tables, coffee tables, buffets in your dining room and more.  Any flat spot that you wish to decorate can be decorated with a “centerpiece” type display.

So here’s some ideas for you!  Pick your favorite and tell me in the comments.

I love this idea!  Even though this is posed for a wedding, you could easily make a smaller version for your table.  Just some simple white and orange pumpkins in tall glass vases.

I showed you this one in my decorating with pinecones post but it is one of my favorites!  HUGE centerpieces like this one from Sweet Something Designs with cuttings from the yard or sticks coming out of it make huge impact!  Just add some candles are you are set!

Here’s how I took a centerpiece idea like these and used it on my living room –  a leaf garland surrounding a red lantern on my coffee table.

And here is one of my favorite centerpieces for my table – a stacked pumpkin topiary centerpiece.

What is your favorite centerpiece idea?  Do you love pulling in some nature from outside and things around the house to make a basically free centerpiece?
