We talked about decorating with acorns… today let’s talk about decorating with another natural element that just really portrays fall when I see it and that is CORN! There are so many ways that you can use corn to decorate with whether it be dried corn in a case or corn stalks on your porch or dried Indian corn hanging on your door. Here’s some pretty ideas I found from around the web.
I have always adored this corn and husks wreath from BHG. It is ALL OVER Pinterest and seems to come up in every fall search I do.

You could place some Indian corn in a mantel for decoration – seen at Confessions of a Pate Addict
Use corn as a place setting – from Midwest Living.
This corn garland from Midwest Living is so unique and pretty!
And I loved this idea too! I am going to have to keep my eye out for decorative dried corn cobs. Surround a candle with small ears of corn.
And here’s a different take on using candle around a candle holder from Confessions of a Plate Addict – I love the wispy natural elements of leaving the husk on the corn.
Decorating with dried corn may be easier and cheaper to do. I have always loved this idea of filling a vase or candle holder with dried corn kernels and adding a candle. Image from Midwest Living.
And this corn kernel wreath by Cherished Bliss is so pretty too.
This Corn Husk Wreath by Martha Stewart is another popular one on Pinterest. I would love to make one of these one day.
Vanessa made this corn husk wreath out of $3 worth of corn husks… like I said, I am SOOO making one of these.. one day. Tutorial for her wreath is here.

Or you could wrap some votive candles with corn husks and adorn with something of your choice.
And how creative is this? Corn husk chargers!
And corn stalks – I LOVE seeing these used in decorations on porches or in hay bale/scarecrow arrangements. Anyone know how to get these for free?? Do you just walk up to a corn field and ask the farmer if you can have some of his gorgeous dead corn stalks??
I have always loved how Sarah at Thrifty Décor Chick decorates her fall front porch. It may be tiny but she does a gorgeous job and it screams fall!
Love seeing cornhusks in displays – this one from KariAnne at Thistlewood Farms is gorgeous!
What is your favorite way to decorate with corn? Got any tips for finding free corn stalks to use for decorating?? I would so add some to my porch if I could get them for free!
Can’t wait to share some fall themed recipes with you this weekend – my house is smelling yummy from one of them as I work on this post.
Linking this post up with Nester for her annual 31 days series in October. I have several other blog friends that are joining me writing for 31 days too – check out their blogs and topics by clicking on the buttons below.
