On the weekends during October, I will be sharing some fall amily favorites and new fall themed recipes I will be trying. This weekend turns out to be all “apple themed.”
First up is these Caramel Apple Buttermilk Muffins. A friend first linked to these on facebook and I had to add them to my “to try in October list”.
They are SOOO yummy! A sweet, flavorful muffin with tender pieces of apple inside and crunchy streusel and creamy caramel drizzle on top. Not too sweet to still be called a muffin – the perfect combination!
You’ll want to head over to The Café Sucre Farine for the full recipe and instructions. DON’T skip any part of the recipe – from the extra pieces of apple on top, to the streusel, to the glaze. Only thing I really changed was to double the streusel recipe – I don’t like skimpy streusel-ed muffins and pretty much always double any streusel recipe.
If you like caramel apples and muffins… you will be in for a treat!
Linking this post up with Nester for her annual 31 days series in October. I have several other blog friends that are joining me writing for 31 days too – check out their blogs and topics by clicking on the buttons below.

Oh mercy those sound delicious! I’ve been keeping muffins here lately for my son. He loves to grab them as he runs out the door.
