Master bathroom – new paint!

September 10, 2018

I am in the midst of a big master bathroom makeover!  If you missed the first post you can go here to see before pictures and how I plan to give this room a makeover in one month for $100 or less.  I have so many projects to do in this master bath that I will be probably be sharing 2 projects a week this month to get them all shared with you before the final reveal on the last Wednesday of this month.

I had this can of paint I had bought for the laundry room makeover back in January that just was too dark for the room once I got it on a section of the walls since that room doesn’t have any natural light. But I decided it would be perfect to use in here and save my budget in having to buy a new can of paint. It’s called Chic Gray by Behr Marquee and a perfect light gray with no undertones.

So this is the master bathroom before… it was the last room in my house to paint since we moved in 2 years ago, so I was doing a bit of happy dance when I finally got a fresh coat of paint on the walls.  The light green paint was not bad at all which is one of the reasons I left it for so long.  But the room needed a fresh coat of paint in a higher sheen and the trim really needed some work and a fresh coat of paint.

So here it is after the new paint!  The room is totally in-process so I haven’t put any decor back on the walls. I am waiting to see how all the rest of the room turns out before I decide how to decorate.  And spoiler alert but I actually already sold that big iron piece that was on the wall  Winking smile  I may or may not use the proceeds to add a bit to my $100 budget – we’ll see!

And how it looks now!  I feel like it looks a bit brighter in real life but its a true light gray that really doesn’t show any undertones.

Before of the toilet room…

And after.. The trim was so yucky in here so I am loving the fresh coat of white paint on the trim.

And after new paint… that set of 3 mirrors have been sold too. Smile  So I’ll have to scrounge through my decor stash or house to find some new decor when it’s time to decorate!

And how it looks now.   I worked on the vanity this weekend – if you follow me on Instagram you may have caught a sneak peek in my stories.  Can’t wait to show you on Wednesday how it turned out!

Are you painting the stool by the shower? The bright white door and trim make it look a little “dingy”.

Where those 3 mirrors were, I picture a white board or something with hooks on it for towels/robe etc.
