Time for an update in the One Month, One Room, $100 challenge! If you missed last weeks post, during the month of March I am taking the challenge along with 15-20 other bloggers and tackling a room makeover with a budget of $100 or less. I am working on our guest bathroom.
This is what the bathroom looked like when we bought our house a few month ago. So thankful that pink is only on the walls and not on the toilet/tub/sink because the wall color was easy to change!
Here’s how it looks now! I chose a calm, very light green color (actually the exact same color that Lauren at Bless’er House used in my inspiration photo) – SW Sea Salt mixed in Behr Premium Eggshell finish paint
I have really started liking light green as a wall color – it goes so well with gray and white and this soft green becomes like a neutral paint color.
Again – before with bright pink on the walls.
And after
Already looking better! But I have several other projects to tackle and then finish with styling and decorating. Stay tuned for the next update!
Budget: spent this week – $0. $100 left
(I actually had several gallons of untinted Behr paint leftover from working with them last year so I just took one to Home Depot and got it tinted and this update cost me $0. But you could get a gallon of paint for $25-30 – makes a huge difference in a room.)
See the progress the other #100roomchallenge bloggers made this week at the links below. And it’s not too late – maybe join us in working on a room this month. I would love to know if you are working along with us.

It always amazes me the effect of the color of paint in a room. I love green in bathrooms and that color is great without being overwhelming.

I am looking to update my bathroom’s in my home also.. It was a beautiful bathroom the color was great. However, I would have made the sink, toilet and door knobs all the same color.. But is still beautiful..

The green is so pretty and not so “in your face” as the old pink color was!

That looks great! So you had the two colors mixed at Home Depot? What was the ratio? Or did they just mix in the Sea Salt until you liked the color? Thank you.

Hi Christina!
You did it great! The light green as a wall color is just majestic. With that wall color I think any bathroom should have a coordinated look. I get some ideas for myself seeing your before after pictures. Thanks for sharing!
