Paint and fabric are probably the best resources for decorating. We have already talked about using fabric to decorate with curtains and pillows, but fabric can be used for décor in other ways too.
You can use fabric to recover lampshades. Tutorial over at Dear Lillie
Or you can use fabric to embellish a lampshade
Of course you could sew a quilt with fabric – love this fall one!

You can make your own basket liners – tutorial here.
You could recover a chair – love this one that Thrifty Décor Chick did.
You can embellish your tea towels for some pretty décor in the kitchen (this would make a great gift too!)
Make some Christmas stockings out of burlap
The DIY TV shows are always making or recovering headboards with fabric.

So you could make something like this
Frame some fabric to make some pretty wall art
So many possibilities!
Take a second look at the fabric at the store, you never know when it could turn into décor for your home!

I love fabric!! Most definitely my favorite “craft” item! I love Hobby Lobby for fabric of course, and Mary Jo’s as well.
