I love to look back through the year and see the projects that got completed around our house. Sometimes it doesn’t feel like you make much progress, but when you look back you realize you really did!
So here are the top 10 posts of 2017 based on how many views each post got…
1. Our guest bathroom makeover was tackled back in March
It went from this…
to this!
Many projects went into this room and many ended up in the top 10 posts.
2. Rustic wood floating shelves
These were easy to make and add a lot of impact!
Another easy and very inexpensive project! You can also see the before/after and how I painted the bathroom cabinet here.
This room underwent quite the transformation too and I just love it! By the way, that table and chairs set got a makeover this year too going from golden oak butcher block to a more farmhouse style look.
5. Shiplap wall and gray and white nursery
I just adore my daughter’s room! Probably in 2018 this room will transition a little bit into a little girls room from a nursery and I’m both lot sad and lot excited about that.
6. Rustic towel hooks in the bathroom
Once again another bathroom project and these hooks are so pretty and functional! You can also find the tutorial for the window turned picture display.
This gets used daily in our house and I love how it is storage yet also sort of looks like a piece of decor/art in her room. I also share lots of tips in that post on how to find cute hairbands and hairbows for cheap!
8. How to add character to your garage door
For less than $20 our garage door was transformed and I love it!
9. Farmhouse style kids table and chair makeover
This was such a fun makeover and it turned out great!
DIY one for much cheaper than you can buy one!
And this was posted later in the year but is probably my favorite project because it made such a big impact! I did phase 2 on our kitchen makeover and painted the cabinets with Magnolia Home paint. It was also probably the longest project I tackled this year – not hard but just time-consuming.
So there’s the top 10 posts and my favorite! What was your favorite project that I did this year? Or better yet what was your favorite project that YOU did in your home? Share a picture on facebook or send it to me!
Looking forward to a whole new year ahead full of projects, learning, and DIYing! Thanks for following along on our home journey!
All of your projects are awesome, but I particularly adore your guest bathroom! I totally get being sad about transitioning from nursery to little girls room. But I will say that one of my favorite things down through the years has been redecorating daughter’s room, especially as she got older and had more to say about what she liked. It’s been sage green, then aqua, and currently lilac. She’s now a senior and I’m both excited and a bit sad about the prospect of helping her decorate her future dorm?? Looking forward to your projects in the new year!
