Vintage or Eclectic decorated mantel {1 mantel decorated 5 ways series}

Day #3 and mantel #3!

Vintage or Eclectic decorated mantel

Today is more of a collected look – one where you can showcase a few of your favorite things or pieces of your favorite collections.  And it has a vintage feel because of the old window, blue ball jars, old grapevine wreath, old Pepsi crate, and antique scale.

I used my stool again on the hearth (I never knew I was going to LOVE this stool in my house as much as I do when I pulled it out of a dirty old shed at an estate sale.  I planned on actually using it on my deck, but it hasn’t made it outside yet!)  Topped that with a Pepsi crate filled with a pretty basket with a greenery stem in it and a lantern.  On the other side some vintage looking white pillows on top of a basket filled with magazines.

On the mantel sits a vintage looking pitcher filled with faux yellow forsythia blooms, an old grapevine wreath, and a vintage scaled with a cute little bird on top.

On this side I used a set of 3 white candlesticks, a rattan placemat with a white plate, finished with some vintage blue ball jars in front.

The middle display is an old white window with no panes, and mirror with panes in front of that.  I hung my DIY J initial wreath on front of that for some texture and interest.  This mantel display probably incorporates more yard sale finds/secondhand finds than the other 2 I have showed you – check out the source list below.

And just to show you a little different look – on the hearth here is a large basket filled with blankets and pillows and then the bench on the other side without the Pepsi crate.

I could show you so many different possibilities – it really is endless! Smile  Which one is your favorite?

    Hey Christina,
    I am LOVING the mantel series this week! I especially like the one today with all of the vintage pieces. I love the large basket with the blanket & pillows, but I also loved the Pepsi crate…..hard to choose! I just found a Coke crate this past weekend and was thrilled! 🙂 I am looking forward to your other ideas, as well as your fall/seasonal mantels.
    Blessings,
    Lanita

    I love both, but I think my favorite is the crate on one side the pillows on the other. The arrangement on the shelf is just gorgeous!

    Love it! Being here in Atlanta tho, it would have to be a Coke crate! Lol! Think I’ll try my hand at something similar tomorrow. Mine needs a little sprucing up!
