(My nieces and nephew checking out the 1st firework show on Sunday night.)
So in case you weren’t experiencing it where you live, you might have heard that the South got hit with a pretty major heat wave last weekend. Temps 100+ (I think the highest I saw on my phone was 108 degrees – it was HOT!) I was going to drive by my parking lot yard sale and just see if anyone was brave enough to be out standing on black asphalt in 100+ degree weather to sell anything, but I didn’t get a chance to. Plus `I was busy myself helping to decorate and coordinate the food at a wedding all weekend. So no frugal finds for me to share this week.
But I do have some fun pictures from our 4th of July activities to share!
My husband actually had 2 days off in a row so we had a late anniversary date on Tuesday and went to the outlets to spend some time together. I showed you my pretty major clearance purchase from Williams-Sonoma – these fun blue plates that I added to my 4th of July tablescape.
My husband and I headed out on 4th of July to a local car show (my hubby loves all things to do with cars – classic cars, sports cars – you name it.) I enjoyed taking some fun pictures!
Then we headed home and I cooked up these yummy burgers (plan to share the recipe next week!)
After church that night, we headed to a local firework display. My nieces had fun playing with sparklers while we waited for the fireworks to start.
I wanted to try to get some fun firework shots but I forgot the piece that connects my camera to my tripod, so I wasn’t able to go with as long as an exposure as I needed. But I still got some fun shots just holding the camera!
Hope you had a wonderful 4th of July and had some fun with family too! I am so excited about our thrifting day tomorrow! So I should have a bunch of frugal finds to share with you next week!
Have a great weekend!
