I am participating in a project over at My 3 Boybarians called Project52 (P52) which stands for “1 photo each week for a year.” There is an assigned theme each week and I try to take the best photo I can related to that theme. You can see all my other weekly photos here. Here is my picture for this week’s theme…
Can I just tell you how much I am enjoying this project? It stretches me and causes me to look for little things throughout the week to capture in a picture. Like today’s picture, I would have never have thought “Oh, what a pretty sunset, let me go take some pictures of the budding trees…” nor would I have taken the time to do it either.
So here is my interpretation of “The ‘Eyes’ of March”
This is what my eyes and my mind envision when I think of March …
- the beginning of spring that brings trees covered in beautiful blooms,
- tulips and daffodils poking through the ground,
- and that glorious added hour of daylight producing gorgeous sunsets like these almost 8:00 at night
We soaked up the 80 degree weather yesterday (actually maybe sweated through would be better description ) And relished in the thought that this is just a taste of things to come for many months ahead.
I LOVE Spring!
(By the way, I totally took inspiration for these pictures from Laine’s gorgeous P52 shot from last week! You should check out her shot – just gorgeous!)
Taken any fun photos this week? Are your trees in bloom already?

Yes it is! I am loving it! 🙂
I love flowering trees. Kind of obsessed about them really. Maybe because they don’t really grow where I live.

awww – well glad I could share some in pictures with you 🙂
Nice shots. I too went out today to shoot some blooms. We have been deluged with rain, and on this single sunny day, thought I should do a capture before the rains washes them all away.

Thanks! It was a lot of fun! I need to make myself do it again as more things bloom 🙂
I REALLY miss the flowering trees we enjoyed when we lived in North Carolina. These are such beautiful pictures! A welcome sight, since here in Canada it SNOWED yesterday. 🙁 Thank you for the reminder that spring IS coming! =)

Well, I think Summer is here (81 degrees all weekend and for the next several days) so maybe we can send our spring to you 🙂

Beautiful pictures! I’m really looking forward to seeing tulips and daffodils soon, and your pictures also make me look forward to the trees coming back to life. 🙂
